Surrounded by a crowd of defence journalists in the Air Force Association’s yearly Air, Space and Cyber Conference, Insitu leadership now announced Integrator Extended Range, a beyond line of sight, SATCOM-enabled small UAS capable of incorporating modern battle theatres.
The system delivers 5 capacities and Group 4 in a Group 3 aircraft for example:
- Extended range operations of 10 hours time on station at 200 nm and half an hour in 300 nm.
- High quality, full motion video on level with current ISR methods while flying acoustically and visually undetectable altitudes.
- Significantly reduced price compared to contracted medium-altitude unmanned systems in operation now.
- Bandwidth throughput up to 10 megabits per minute using less than 1.5 minute latency.
- Modularity for easy integration of multiple payloads, such as EW and SIGINT.
- Significantly diminished labor footprint for surgeries; the system may be managed by a team of 12 operators, maintainers and assignment commanders.
- More secure, jam-resistant networks than traditional unmanned technologies in use now because of improvements in commercial communication satellite technologies
This option enables consumers to conserve money by augmenting higher price systems using a UAS that are little, freeing up the larger strike-capable unmanned resources to conduct more of the kinetic assignments for.
